Privacy Policy
Short version: your text and your files never leave your device. We do not ask who you are, and we could not tell you what you did here even if you asked us.
1. Who this is about
This policy covers 108 ToolBox at 108toolbox.in and every tool on it.
2. What happens to what you type or upload
Nothing leaves your browser. Each tool is JavaScript running on your own machine. When you compress an image here, your own computer reads it, resizes it and hands it back to you.
There is no upload. There is no server that receives your work, no database, and no copy of your input anywhere but on your own device. When you close the tab, whatever you entered is gone.
This is not a promise we are asking you to take on trust. Open the tools page, disconnect from the internet, and the tools keep working.
3. Personal information we collect
None. We do not ask for, and have no way to receive, your name, your email address, your phone number, your address, your date of birth or your payment details.
There are no accounts on this site. You cannot create one, so there is nothing about you for us to hold, lose or be asked to hand over.
4. If you email us
If you write to us at hello@108toolbox.in, we will have your email address and whatever you put in your message. We use it only to reply to you. We do not add you to any mailing list.
5. What is stored on your own device
One thing, and only if you change it: your choice of light or dark
theme. It is saved in your browser’s local storage under the name
theme, so that the site looks the way you left it next time.
It is not a cookie, it is never sent anywhere, and it says nothing about you. Clearing your browser data removes it.
6. Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own. There is no cookie banner here because there is nothing to consent to.
7. Advertising
There are no advertisements on this site today.
We may add advertising in the future to help cover the cost of running the site. If we do, we will update this page before the first advertisement appears, and we will say plainly what changes.
You should know what that would mean. An advertising provider such as Google AdSense sets its own cookies in your browser, and uses them to show advertisements based on your visits to this and other websites. Those cookies would belong to the advertising provider, not to us, and their privacy policy would govern them. You can review and turn off personalised advertising at any time at google.com/settings/ads.
Even then, one thing would not change: your text and your files would still never leave your device. Advertising does not alter how the tools work.
8. Analytics
We do not use Google Analytics and we do not track you across websites. Nothing about your visit is recorded by us.
If we ever add page-view analytics, we will update this page first, and we will use a privacy-friendly service that sets no cookies and cannot identify you as a person.
9. Our hosting provider
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like almost every web host, GitHub’s servers keep standard technical logs of requests, which can include your IP address and which browser you use. This is ordinary to how the internet works, and it happens before any of our code runs.
We do not have access to those logs and we cannot read them. GitHub handles that data under its own privacy statement.
10. We do not sell or share your data
We do not sell, rent, trade or share personal data with anyone, for any price. This is an easy commitment for us to keep, because we do not hold any.
11. Children
This site is safe for anyone to use and collects no personal data from any visitor, whatever their age. We do not knowingly collect information from children, because we do not collect information from anybody.
12. Your rights
Under Indian data protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have rights over personal data that an organisation holds about you — to see it, correct it or have it erased.
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to show, correct or delete. If you have emailed us and would like that email deleted, ask and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page and the date below will change. Any change that affects your privacy — advertising or analytics in particular — will be published here before it takes effect.
14. Contact
Questions about privacy can go to hello@108toolbox.in, or through the contact page.
