Merge PDF
Join two or more PDFs into one file, in the order you choose. The joining happens inside your browser, so your documents never leave your device.
The files are joined in the order of the list. Use the arrows to change it.
Why it matters that nothing is uploaded
The PDFs people join are usually the ones they least want to hand to a stranger: bank statements for a loan, salary slips, an Aadhaar or PAN scan, a signed agreement, medical reports. Most online PDF joiners upload those to their own server to do the work. This page reads each file inside your browser, puts the pages together there, and saves the result straight to your device.
The pages are copied, not redrawn
Each page goes into the joined file exactly as it was: the same text, which you can still select and search, the same fonts and the same pictures, with nothing compressed again. A link from one page to another inside the same document still works. The joined file is often slightly smaller than the files together, because anything a document stored but no page used is left out.
What is not carried over
Things that belong to a whole document rather than to its pages do not survive joining: bookmarks (the outline in a reader's side panel), file attachments, and the ability to fill in a form. A filled-in form keeps what was typed in it, as it looks, but its boxes can no longer be edited.
Damaged and protected files
A PDF whose index is damaged, which happens with files cut short by a failed download or an email gateway, is read anyway by searching it for its pages; the list says so when that happened. A PDF protected with a password cannot be joined: its contents are encrypted. Open it with the password in your PDF reader, save a copy without protection, and add that copy here.
Frequently asked questions
Does joining reduce the quality?
No. Every page is copied as it was, byte for byte: text stays text and pictures are not compressed again.
How many PDFs can I join?
Up to 100 at a time, as long as together they come to no more than 500 MB, which is about as much as a browser on a phone can safely hold.
Can I join a password-protected PDF?
No, its pages are encrypted. If you know the password, open the file in your PDF reader, save or print a copy without protection, and add that copy here.
What happens to bookmarks and fillable forms?
Bookmarks are not carried over, because they belong to a whole document. Forms keep what was typed in them, but their boxes can no longer be filled in.
Can I choose single pages from each file?
Not on this page: whole files are joined, in the order of the list. Use the arrows to change the order, or Sort by name to put them in the order of their file names.
Why does the list say a file is damaged but readable?
Its index, the table that says where each part of the file starts, was broken. The page found the parts by searching the whole file instead. Check the joined pages of that file before you rely on them.
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. The PDFs are read and joined by JavaScript inside your own browser, and the result is saved straight to your device. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored - close the tab and it is gone.
